Job Overview:

The BFI Internship program offers an unparalleled opportunity for individuals passionate about film and culture to gain hands-on experience within one of the most prestigious film institutions in the world. Interns will work closely with experienced professionals across various departments, gaining valuable insight into the inner workings of the film industry, film preservation, event management, marketing, and more.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with Event Coordination: Support the organization and execution of film screenings, festivals, and special events hosted by the BFI.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to department heads, including data entry, scheduling meetings, and organizing files.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research on various film-related topics, market trends, and audience demographics to support decision-making processes.
- Content Creation: Assist with content creation for social media platforms, newsletters, and promotional materials.
- Film Preservation: Aid in the preservation and restoration efforts of historical films, including cataloging, digitization, and archiving tasks.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to BFI members, patrons, and guests attending BFI events or visiting BFI venues.
Job Qualifications:
- Passion for film, television, and the arts.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace.
- Enrollment in or recent completion of a degree program in film studies, arts administration, communications, or a related field is preferred.
