Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of community projects and initiatives.
  • Support day-to-day operations within specific council departments, depending on placement.
  • Conduct research and data analysis to support council programs and decision-making processes.
  • Participate in meetings, providing administrative support and contributing to discussions.
  • Help coordinate public events, workshops, and other community engagement activities.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members on cross-departmental projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, based on departmental needs and intern’s interests.

  • Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a relevant degree program (e.g., Public Administration, Social Sciences, Environmental Studies, Urban Planning).
  • Strong interest in public service and local government.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential.
